Security show in Essen was the opportunity for PCS to show two new types of access readers: the RFID-reader INTUS 600 and the fingerprint reader INTUS 600 FP, suiting perfectly in the design of the INTUS 5300 terminal family

Perfection in design. This is how INTUS 600 presents itself, an advanced RFID access reader for low-wear proximity card reading in a small and compact reading station. The INTUS 600 reader differs from its predecessor mainly by the new reading mode Mifare DESFire EV1 and Legic advant. The INTUS 600 is optionally available with a PIN keyboard. As a contactless proximity identification system, INTUS 600 interfaces to PCS Access Managers (INTUS ACM) and all terminals supporting the PCS LBus. INTUS 600 is an ergonomic access reader which discreetly fits in with a building’s architecture. At the same time, its efficient signalisation system makes sure that the reader is easily seen. These examples from projects show how INTUS 600 from PCS blends in with a building’s architecture and design. INTUS 600 – a real gem.

The INTUS 600FP is complementing the INTUS 600 reader: a perfectly designed access reader for verification against a card (Mifare, Legic) and equally suited for identification purposes – highly secure thanks to fingerprint recognition.

The biometric access reader INTUS 600FP features award-winning design complemented by high security and ease of use. Supporting verification and identification applications with or without RFID and/or PIN code entry, INTUS 600FP will adapt to your requirements.

For verification, fingerprint features stored in templates on the RFID card are matched with the features of the finger placed on the sensor. This ascertains that the card in fact belongs to the person using it. For identification, the finger on the sensor is compared with all the reference values stored in the terminal. PIN code entry is replaced by biometrics, which increases the overall security of access control and prevents tampering. INTUS Fingerprint offers high user friendliness with very short response times.
