Flexible Key Management
Because of the wear resistant and maintenance free RFID technology, the clear usage with illuminated key ports and the high standard in quality and design deister electronic´s key management systems have been established in the market very fast. To fulfil even individual customers´ wishes deister electronic has developed the modular system proxSafe flexx. Now the customer can choose the number of key ports for his application gradually in steps of 16. It is also possible to equip the system only partly so that future expansions can be done easily. deister electronic offers different open and lockable housings depending on the requested safety precaution. In case of lockable housings the customer can choose between doors with or without window. In the first case it is possible to control the completeness of keys or the availability of one special key without running the opening process.
Concerning the way of use there is no difference between the proxSafe flexx and other products of the proxSafe family: The user identifies himself contact less with his card at a terminal. This card can be the generally used company´s access control card. The proxSafe system is compatible to all common access control systems and technologies. If the identification is finished positively the door will be unlocked, the deblocked key port will be illuminated and the key can be taken. The „Fast-Key-Return“ allows the return of keys without a user card. In this process the RFID chip in the key tag is read at the terminal and the key will be assigned to a special port. In this way keys can be returned by people who do not have permission for taking out keys.
